Bonjour Montreal! Inaugural AIA Global Tournament Lands in Canada

The AIA Global Tournament is set to make its highly anticipated debut in Montréal, Quebec, Canada, on July 16-19, 2026, marking a new chapter for international All-Star Cheer and Dance. In partnership with Tourism Montréal, the city was selected for its vibrant sports culture, deep-rooted cheerleading legacy, and world-class attractions—creating an unparalleled experience for athletes, coaches, and spectators.


The AIA Global Tournament is more than just another competition—it’s a prestige event that blends elite performance with rich cultural experiences. Hosting the inaugural tournament in Montréal coincides with the 50th anniversary of the Summer Olympic Games, ensuring an electrifying atmosphere that celebrates global sportsmanship. Athletes and families can enjoy premier attractions like Verdun Beach, Cirque du Soleil, and La Ronde – Six Flags Amusement Park, making the event both a competition and a celebration.


As a global cheer powerhouse, Canada boasts over 10,000 cheerleaders in Quebec alone and is home to one of the most decorated international cheer programs, making Montréal the ideal stage for this historic event.


A Landmark Global Competition


The AIA Global Tournament offers Levels 2–7 athletes up to five competition

opportunities (two guaranteed) to earn True international titles. Unlike traditional U.S.-centric models, this event redefines global competition into a Tournament, providing a fresh, international atmosphere while elevating elite-level performance on the world stage.
